This is the first cake I made that I took a photo of!! This cake was interesting to make. The 5 year old boy that I made it for loved fire engines at the time. The cake is a light sponge and is covered in red icing . The best part about this cake is the flashing lights. The lights are made from 2 lollipop flashing sticks (my son and partner at the time had the job of eating the lollipops!) These lights just made this cake and the kids loved it, the only thing that was missing was the siren noises!!! I cover my cakes in a rich but delicant butter icing that is my own recipe and it is a hit with the adults as well as children. I make the cakes with two layers which are sandwich together with butter icing. I love making cakes the very first one I made was a logging truck! The only thing about my cakes is my imagination takes over and each cake shows my bubbly side and my creative side!
