The corals were very simple to make all it is, is dry peanuts(not roasted ot salted) white chololate (melted) and food colouring. I melted the chocolate added the colour and mixed in the peanuts. I then put the mixture on baking paper (all different sizes) and put in the frezzer. Really simple and it looks really efective.
I used my famous butter icing for this cake and it was a little hard this time ans the day for this cake was saturday and it was mighty hot and the icing was on the verge of melting! It was fridge then cake fridge then cake etc it was not as easy cake to ice at all.
The tops of the cake were made with a sponge roll and ice cream cones which were stuck in with skewers (these are really easy to work with and they just make the tops of the castle) The purple bits were made out of soft white icing coloured pruple( this was fun using a liquid colour for it lets just say I was covered in purple fool colouring), the shpaes were cut out and placed on. Then all that was left was to decorate with the sea shells ( which were of course shaped chocolates) and the path guides were lollipops!

The mermaids were placed in behind the cake and the candle was placed in the middle. All in all it turned out to be fantastic and the birthday girl just loved it!!

Yes that is my boy there having a good look at the cake! His favorite part was eating the cake!! Typicall boy!!!
